Parenting Information

Parent Involvement

Our teachers work in partnership with parents to prepare children for future school success. We believe that good communication with parents can build support for and strengthen the work we do in the classroom. Kinder Kountry recognizes and encourages the important role of the family in the child’s early education experiences. Child care/school is a shared process, and at Kinder Kountry we encourage parents to share in the day-to-day activities of the Center: meals, classroom visits and special occasions. Family members have a wealth of experiences to share such as traditions, recipes, jobs and hobbies. Teachers can guide parents in knowing how to be involved in their child’s classroom

Parent Communication

Because your child will be spending a major portion of his/her day at the Center, we want to make sure that parents/guardians are kept informed of all that is happening in the classroom, the Center and the community. We provide parents with classroom information, memos, and notices of special events. Approximately every other Friday parents receive a “Home Communication Letter” with tips and information on parenting and on how to extend their child’s learning in the home.

Community notices that may be of interest to our parents and families are also posted in the clear pocket file next to the Center’s entry door. These may include opportunities for family events, parent education or support. Our website serves as a way to communicate with all families. That is why we have gathered resources to help families stay involved in their children’s early educational experiences and provide parents with additional information and tips regarding a variety of parenting and family issues.

Choosing a Child Care Provider

One of the most important decisions any family will make is searching for the best early childhood education and care provider. We encourage families to be informed about their options.
